Gronica de Una Muerte Anunciada

"Gronica de Una Muerte Anunciada", "Chronicle of a Death Foretold", is a great novel which was written
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and published in 1981. I liked the book a lot.
It talks about a girl whose virginity was taken by a man named Santiago Nasa. Actually, it's not so certain
that he is the one or not but in the book the girl's brothers decide to kill him after she said that he is the one.
Everybody knows that they're going to kill him but nobody can not go and say that "you should be careful
because they are going to kill you.". The book starts with the day that Santiago has been killed. This chapter
gives us information about Santiago's life. Then, the narrator talks about the girl's, Angela's, life. After that,
on the first day of her marriage, her husband understands that she's not virgin so, she sends back Angela
to her family's house. Her brothers forces him to tell them who did that to her then she says it was Santiago.
From that time until the end, nobody could change the faith even they knew that the brothers were going
to kill Santiago. So, I think it's kind of an interesting book because the subject is interesting. However,
I liked the writer's diction a lot. You could really understand how sad he is because of his friends' death.
To understand those time's culture, you should read this symbolic book. I really recommend for you to read=))

Freddie Mercury's last journey

I hate giving you this news, I have to, but Freddie Mercury died.!.

Yes, when the rumors started, he said that they were only rumors but yesterday he made a speech to presses that he had AIDS. He said that he didn't tell the truth because he wanted to protect his deprivation. Then, he said his fans needs to know the case because he thought that they deserved to know but after 24 hours, he died in one of his friend's arms in his house.
Even though he made a sensation of his braveness and sexual choice, every body loves him. He made great songs. He was really talented. I'm so sorry to give you this news.

Now, everybody, especially the doctors, who knows about AIDS, try to make people who don't know that conscious of AIDS. I hope this would work somehow.!.

Melancholy Man

Melancholy Man

i'm a melancholy man, that's what i am
all the world surrounds me and my feet are on the ground
i'm a very lonely man doing what i can
all the world astounds me and i think i understand
that we're going to keep growing, wait and see

when all the stars are falling down
into the sea and on the ground
and angry voices carry on the wind
a beam of light will fill your head
and you'll remember what's been said
by all the good men this world's ever known
another man is what you'll see
who looks like you and looks like me
and yet somehow he will not feel the same
his life caught up in misery, he doesn't think like you and me
'cause he can't see what you and i can see

i'm a melancholy man, that's what i am
all the world surrounds me and my feet are on the ground
i'm a very lonely man doing what i can
all the world astounds me and i think i understand
that we're going to keep growing, wait and see

when all the stars are falling down
into the sea and on the ground
and angry voices carry on the wind
a beam of light will fill your head
and you'll remember what's been said
by all the good men this world's ever known
another man is what you'll see
who looks like and looks like me
and yet somehow he will not be the same
his life caught up in misery, he doesn't think like you and me
'cause he can't see what you and i can see

I love this song. It's The Moody Blues' song. I first heard that from the radio and it made me feel indescribable. First of all, I loved the music because it takes you away from where you're siting to where you're dreaming to be. Then, when you pay attention to the lyrics, you start to feel "yeah man, oh what a lonely world" but you also faith in your own self as may be seen from the end of the lyrics. You believe yourself but your loneliness also stops you from improving your own. Even though you had a great day, when you listen this song, you start to feel what I described before. Even you're with you best friends and your boy friend etc, you feel lonely. At least that's what I feel while listening this song. I'm sure now you're asking why I do like this song. To be honest, I don't know. I don't know what makes me listen that over and over again. Actually, I don't like feeling melancholy but look at the song's name: "Melancholy Man"! Maybe, I also like the variety of the song because the music is great. I hope you'll like that too!

The Godfather

Only a one film changed my perception about guilty people or mafia. It was only a film but made me understand why people commit a crime and how can it make authority on lots of people's mind. The film is called The Godfather. I'm sure you've heard from somewhere but if you haven't watch it, I strongly recommend for you to watch it.

The film criticizes the content and the structure of typical Hollywood films because every body was doing films only on certain subject: sex or money and nobody looks if the director makes a good film or not but this is different. Coppala, who is the director of the movie, critizes this bad depiction of the Hollywood films.

When I finished watching the film, I straightly went to a book shop and buy it's book that the film was based on and it's great too. Even if you knew the things that’s going to happen from the film, the language of the book makes you love it because each character of the book is certain and well explained and the topics are so relevant. There are a lot of quotes that I have underlined while reading it because the book gives lots of  details about that time and the people from different levels such as the guilty ones and the ones who consider crime as a business. The film is like the summary of the book and obviouslly, the book is more detailed. I certainly advocate everybody to read the book.

Let me show you how characterization and theme are made in the book:

“Godfather, perhaps if He (the God) sees you near me He will be frightened and leave me in peace. Or perhaps you can say a word, pull a few strings, eh?”

From the beginning of the novel 'till the end, the power of Don Corlone on people is always expressed. He was the first person on that time that people think as the most powerful and a man to whom everybody came for help and never were disappointed. In this quote, one of the best friend of Don Corlone, Genco Abbandando, is begging for Don to stay with him when the time that he is going to die comes because he thinks that God will be afraid of Don thus, He will not kill him. This indicates how Don is powerful on people’s minds as showing the comparison between him and the God so, this quote is important to distinguish one of the protagonists of the book.

“It’s business, not personal.”

When there is a business that involves crime inside, they say this quote to refer themselves as a businessman because crime is part of their business which they have to do, thanks to that, they don’t feel any guilt while doing their job. Therefore, this quotation is important to show one of the theme of the book.

I don't know what to say. I really liked both of the versions. Hope you're gonna like them too.

The Doors

Last week, I went to a concert of one of my favorite group: The Doors. I really felt like I accidently hit a door. It's not a corny joke or something. When I see Jim Morrison's face, the soloist of The Doors, I felt like I'm getting dizzy. He is so handsome. However, their music is awesome too. They just formed in 1965 but they improved themselves a lot. They are not like a group that were formed new. They are like they've been in music  circle since they're born. Let me give you some information about them:

As I said before, they constituted in 1965. The group is comprised with Jim Morrison, their vocalist, Ray Manzarek, keyboardist, John Densmore, drummer, and Robby Kriger, their guitarist. Jim and Ray went to UCLA  Film School and met there, then they constructed the group. They got their name from Aldous Huxley's book called "The Doors of Perception". They are unusual between rock groups because they're not using bass guitarist when playing live. Their live performance was magnificent. I couldn't take my eyes away from the stage. They have such a great songs such as The End, People are Strange, The Crystal Ship and Light My Fire. I really recommend you to listen to them. They are really talented and you can read some of Jim Morrison's quotes at the end:

---There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors.

---Friends can help each other. A true friend is someone who lets you have total freedom to be yourself - and especially to feel. Or, not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at the moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is.

Freddie Mercury made depressed all of his fans

According to some rumors about Freddie Mercury, he diagnosed as AIDS. Nobody knows what the truth is but even being rumors, it made all of his fans being gloomy. All the presses are looking forward for news to inform people about his condition but nobody still couldn't find any information yet. Even giving these information makes me sad because I am also kind of a big fan of Queen. I always try to go their concerts. It's like an addiction to me but if anything happens to any member of Queen, especially Freddie, I don't know what I can do about it.

He is the writer of a lot of legendary songs such as "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Somebody To Love", "We Are The Champions" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". He is a great tenor even though he has kind of a baritone voice while talking. He took Jimi Hendrix as his idol. He loves listening to The Beatles and Led zeppelin etc. I don't know how can a person who has a great talent in music get kind of this disease. I hope it's only a rumor.

Affect Of Music

Music affects people a lot and sometimes it uses to change the mood of the people. If you listen to a melancholy music, you become melancholy. If you listen energetic music, you become highly energetic.

If your alarm clock’s music is kind of distracting, it may cause your day to become hilarious but if it’s kind of a relaxed music, this may cause your day to be great. The reason of this is why the music’s mood sends signals to your brain and it makes you feel sad or happy, whatever it is.

For example, if we look at the music of the news, it is always kind of a serious music. It is because it sends to signal to your brain and says “it’s time to be serious now!” Or, if it is kind of a comedy show, it has always-energetic music to prepare you to laugh. So, everybody needs to think twice before they listen music because it changes your mood.

However, music is sometimes used in movies to change mood of the viewers. If there is scene, which is the climax, and makes people cry, there should be melancholic music in order to give that feeling to the audience.

Last week, I had to study for my exam but there was a song playing on my itunes, which blew all my attention on another subject: “Another Break In The Wall”, as may known as “We don’t need no education”. I started to think about the reasons of me studying for lessons. It caused me to get away from my notebook, my pen or whatever. Then, I get back to my work and it was all gone. All the bad things that I’ve been feeling about those lessons were all gone. After that, I understood how music affects me and I started to do a playlist for different things: for studying, reading, dancing etc. now, I’m living happily ever after. I think everybody should know about the affects of music.

What would you like to be famous for?

I would like to be a famous editor in a magazine such as in The Rolling Stone or National Geographic. I love reading books, watching movies, going to theather or going to galleries. I love that kind of intellectual stuff and talk about them. That's why, I want to be an editor in a magazine to be the part of that world. To be able to meet and talk with the writer that I love and publish what I think about the world. Actually, one of a close friend of mine told me to go to a journalism college to be an editor because she knows me well and that preoccupies my mind a lot. When I think about giving that way to my life, it seems fantastic because I'm going to do what I love so, I would like to a famous editor.

All Times Legend

The Ford Mustang is an automobile which was produced by the Ford Motor Company. The Mustang created the "pony car" class of American automobile — sports car-like sedans with long hoods and short rear decks —and gave rise to competitors, which is the only original pony car that has remained in production without interruption after its development and revision.

I lose my breath and can't help myself not to watch it. Especially, the 1967 model is a legend
for me, which is the one that's on the top. The name, Mustang, means a wild horse and that's
why the brand's symbol is a horse. Mustang has been used in a lot of movie and used in a
lot of song. The 1965 Mustang won the Tiffany Gold Medal for excellence in American design, the first automobile ever to do so.

Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd is an English rock band which are known with its psychedelic and progressive rock music and philosophical lyrics. The group members are Nick Mason, Roger Water, Richard Wright, Bob Klose and Syd Barrett. They are now the most popular group in London because of its high quality and special music. Everybody (especially me=)) is dying to go to their concert. You can't help yourself to not listen them so, it sounds like they are going to have repercussions a lot and going to lead a lot of band too. Even now, you can see their influence on Genesis, Yes and Dream Theater etc. There are some rumors about Barrett though, which is his erratic behaviors are going to led his group-mates to replace him with David Gilmour who is going to be a singer and a guitarist in the band. It's a rumor though, nobody knows if it's real or not (;)). In fact, as knowing the position of Barrett in the group, if he leaves, Roger Waters would become the dominant force in the group. You know those are only theories of my own but if it happens, a lot of thing is going to chance in the group and in their music. I think there is nothing we can do but wait for time to show us what's going to happen;))

Fahrenheit 451

Fahrenheit 451 is the book of Ray Bradbury, which was published in 1953. The novel represents the future society of America where books have been outlaw by the government to prevent independent-thinking. There are firefighters who are responsible of burning books. Our protagonist whose name is Guy Montag, is a Fireman who falls in love with book hoarding Clarisse then he starts to read confiscated books. After that, the circumstances begin to progress. There is a film version of this book which was directed by one of my favourite director, François Roland Truffaut. Even though, I'm one of a fan of Truffaut, I think the book is much better. While reading the book, you visualize it so much differ than the film version but the film is really good too if you consider the fact that this much of technology is used in a film. Thus, I strongly recommend everybody to read this interesting book=))

Since the album is published, The Beatles were heard by everyone. The success of the album caused Rolling Stone to call them  "[their invention of] the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments." At the bottom, there is the lyrics of one of a great song of The Beatles from this album:

I Saw Her Standing There

Well, she was just 17,
You know what I mean,
And the way she looked was way beyond compare.
So how could I dance with another (ooh)
When I saw her standin' there.

Well she looked at me, and I, I could see
That before too long I'd fall in love with her.
She wouldn't dance with another (whooh)
When I saw her standin' there.

Well, my heart went "boom,"
When I crossed that room,
And I held her hand in mine...

Well, we danced through the night,
And we held each other tight,
And before too long I fell in love with her.
Now, I'll never dance with another (whooh)
When I saw her standing there

Well, my heart went "boom,"
When I crossed that room,
And I held her hand in mine...

Oh, we danced through the night,
And we held each other tight,
And before too long I fell in love with her.
Now I'll never dance with another (whooh)
Since I saw her standing there 3x

I like this album a lot because as being the first album of The Beatles, you can see the improvements of The Beatles from the songs as you listen to the other songs from them. I hope you'll enjoy listening to that;))

YEAAAAHHHHH=)))

Yes, you're in 1960s, 1970s or 1980s. You haven't born in 90s. You don't know anything about i-pods or Cd-players whatever. Your dream came true and you can go to The Beatles concerts or anything you wanna do but you can't because obviously you're ın 2000s right now so, follow the blog and feel like you're in those times right now.
